How to Find Items in E-Way

If you do not have an item number or you want to see all items available in a specific category, you have two options available: you can browse the online catalog or you can search by keyword. If you are not able to find the item you need, your account may not be set up so that you can buy that specific item or group of items. In that case, please check with your Purchasing group or Account Representative to request that an item be added to your company's procurement options.

Browsing the Online Catalog

The online catalogs available to you will be determined by your Purchasing Department and may include Office Supplies, Facility Supplies, Furniture, and Technology. Each online catalog uses a series of drop down menus and links for browsing and displaying items.

Browsing the Catalog by Product Lines and Categories

1. Hover over the product lines in the catalog main menu to display the drop down product category options.
2. Click a product category in the drop down menu to display the Narrow Results by Category area in the top center of the page which lists the product sub categories.
3. Click a product sub category to view either another Narrow Results by Category area, or a list of all products in that subcategory. Up to 25 items will display on each page. Use the scroll bar to view the items in the list and click the next page link to view additional pages of items.
4. Click a filter option in the Narrow Results By area on the left side of the page, which includes the Manufacturer, Minority-Owned, Ecoffice, and Custom Filters options, to decrease the list of items.
5. Click an item attribute filter option in the Narrow Results By area on the left side of the page, which includes filter options specific to item attributes, to decrease the list of items.

Searching for an Item

The Search field above the catalog menu provides an easy way to search for an item by item number, key word, product category, or manufacturer.

Searching for an Item via the Search Field

1. Type an item number, key word, product category, or manufacturer in the Search field. Words that match what you are typing will appear in the Search field drop down. You can click to select an option from the drop down or continue typing.
2. Click the Search button to display the Narrow Results by Category area which lists the product sub categories. Use the scroll bar to view the items in the list and click the next page link to view additional pages of items.
3. Click a product sub category to view a list of all products in that subcategory. Up to 25 items will display on each page. Use the scroll bar to view the items in the list and click the next page link to view additional pages of items.
4. Click a filter option in the Narrow Results By area on the left side of the page, which includes the Manufacturer, Minority-Owned, Ecoffice, and Custom Filters options, to decrease the list of items.
5. Click an item attribute filter option in the Narrow Results By area on the left side of the page, which includes filter options specific to item attributes, to decrease the list of items.

If a product sub category only has one item, or if you have searched by a specific item number, you will be taken directly to the details of that item.

Finding a Toner or Ink Refill

With the Toner & Ink Finder you can find a refill cartridge by using the manufacturer and model number of the machine, or by just using the cartridge number.

Using the Toner & Ink Finder

1. Click the Toner & Ink option in the catalog main menu to display the Toner & Ink Finder.
2. Click the letter that corresponds with the first letter of the manufacturer’s name to view a list of manufacturers.
3. Click the manufacturer’s name to display the machine models that are available from that manufacturer.
4. Click the letter or number that corresponds with the first letter of the model to view a list of machine models.
5. Click a machine model to view a list of items that are compatible with that machine.

Using the Quick Finder

1. Enter your machine's model number or cartridge number in the Quick Finder field.
2. Click the Find button to view items that match the criteria.
